ART REQUIREMENTS & SPECIFICATIONS The following guidelines are provided to assist you in submitting art that will ensure satisfactory and timely completion of your order. Submitted art is printed as is. We expect that the art and/or copy you submit is to your satisfaction and correct.
CAMERA-READY ART Camera-ready art is defined as black and white line art that has sharp, clean lines, requires no retouching, and is complete with text and/or graphics. Clean, black and white copies printed at 800 dpi or higher are usually acceptable.
We expect that you have proofread your art and/or copy before sending it to us and that it is correct and ready for immediate processing.
Spot color separations submitted in paper form are only acceptable if the colors do not overlap. Artwork is not returned unless requested.

Font Size: We cannot guarantee the legibility of any imprint that uses fonts under 6 points.
Art Charges: Art requiring clean up or redrawing will incur an art charge. Art charges are billed at $50.00 (R) per hour in half hour increments.
Two-Color Art: When submitting art for a two-color process, please be sure to indicate what is to be printed in each color. We cannot print a color overlay unless the second color is black. Color separated art (a knockout) must be supplied.
DIGITAL ART We accept artwork submitted on 3.5 floppy disks, 100 or 250MB Zip disks, CD-ROM, or via email. If artwork is emailed, it must be indicated on your purchase order and the subject line of your email must include your purchase order number to ensure the proper art is matched to your order. Art email address: art@graphcoline.com
File size cannot exceed 10MB. Please do not email purchase orders to this address. They may be overlooked. Please fax your purchase order, place the order online, or contact customer service for an order email address.
To ensure timely completion of your order, we recommend using one of the following standard graphic programs: Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop QuarkXpress Corel Draw
We are MAC based, however, PC versions of these programs are acceptable. All fonts must be converted to curves/outlines and the file must be saved or exported as an .eps, .ai, or .cdr file. Page layout programs must include all supporting files and fonts. If using Illustrator, export your file as a MAC version. Please keep in mind that Corel Draw 12 and higher is not supported by MAC.
Fonts: We recommend that all text be converted to curves/outlines by the originating program. This eliminates font problems associated with the variety of fonts with the same name. If this is not possible, include both screen and printer fonts with your files. We can only accept Macintosh compatible fonts. We highly recommend Postscript fonts rather than True Type fonts.
Include a hard copy of your artwork that shows layout, size, and color breaks. Compress your files before emailing. We can accept files compressed with Stuffit or WinZip. All files used to create artwork need to be included.
We are unable to use files saved in the following formats: bitmap (.bmp), JPEG (.jpg), GIFF (.gif), PICT, CGM, MS Word (.doc), MS Excel, Powerpoint, or Lotus. We cannot use low-resolution images (less than 300 dpi).
Low resolution images can be recreated or cleaned up for an additional fee. |
